Recognizing the increased risk to the nation’s energy grid, the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC), with approval from Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), established the need for back-up control centers with redundant and diverse connectivity. To assist in meeting these needs, Engage Communication has developed evolved models of its popular circuit emulationIP•Tube product line that facilitate critical Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition SCADA infrastructure protection.
The IP•Tube seamlessly connects existing RTU and control center equipment to an advanced IP infrastructure, provides diverse and redundant transport paths, includes critical equipment redundancy, and integrates the instantaneous detection of both the main and back-up SCADA Control Centers.

• Opportunity: Migrate T1 PBX traffic between Hospitals, Medical Centers, and other facilities onto packet data network to eliminate monthly T1 charges.
•Solution: Retain existing PBX equipment and use Engage IP•Tube with echo cancellation to convert T1 traffic to IP packets for transport over the packet network.
