Engage BlackVault CA Achieves Interoperability with WatchGuard’s Fireboxes
VPN End Point Authentication with HSM backed true privacy
Aptos, CA – February 8, 2018
Engage Black, a Cryptographic Appliance manufacturer, and WatchGuard, a Unified Threat Management Appliance manufacturer, announced today the successful integration of the BlackVault Certificate Authority (CA) with the Firebox (UTM).
The BlackVault CA is a Certificate Authority Appliance with an integrated Hardware Security Module (HSM) that securely boots up as a good-to-go Certificate Authority. Cryptographic functions are performed in a secure multi-layer tamper reactive cryptographic boundary. Private keys are never in-the-clear. CA standard features: EST, OCSP and ECC automate authentication.
The BlackVault CA protects Firebox VPNs by providing an ultra-secure source of authentication for the endpoints of the VPN. It is easy to set up and use Certificate Authority that is simple to weave into existing or new WatchGuard VPNs.
“VPN privacy requires a private key whose seed source is indeterministic and isolated. The BlackVault CA’s HSM achieves these absolute privacy objectives seamlessly.” Said Mark Doyle CEO Engage Black.
WatchGuard is a pioneer in developing cutting-edge cyber security technology and delivering it as an easy-to-deploy and easy-to-manage industry-leading network security, secure Wi-Fi, and network intelligence products and services. watchguard.com
